ANDREA

Andrea has been playing the piano since childhood, and music has remained a lifelong passion ever since. It has been a constant source of joy, comfort, creativity, and connection throughout her life. Her personal experience reflects what scientific research continues to demonstrate: learning and performing music supports neurological and cognitive development, benefiting both the mind and the body.

Andrea earned her Piano Teaching Certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada. She has performed as a member of a piano trio and continues to play at private events and celebrations. Since 2019, she has been teaching private piano lessons, allowing her to provide each student with an individualized approach tailored to their unique interests, abilities, and goals.

In addition to her private teaching practice, Andrea has taught music at OBS School alongside Ellen and has worked with young children at Learning Tribe Kindergarten. She welcomes students from the age of 3 through adulthood, adapting her teaching methods to suit each stage of development.

Andrea’s teaching style combines encouragement, creativity, and a strong musical foundation. She supports students in exploring the music they enjoy while gently guiding them toward a deeper understanding of music theory, technique, and artistic expression. Whether preparing for examinations, performances, family celebrations, or simply learning for enjoyment, her goal is to help every student develop confidence, musicality, and a lasting love of music.

MARCELA

Marcela is an experienced pianist, singer, and dedicated music teacher who has devoted her life to music and music education. With more than ten years of teaching experience, she is passionate about helping children and adults discover their musical potential while building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Marcela graduated from the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, Czech Republic, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. She also studied piano pedagogy at the Brno Conservatory and further enriched her education through international masterclasses and an Erasmus exchange program at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga, Latvia. Alongside her piano studies, she pursued vocal training and has continued to develop her singing skills through private study and ensemble performance.

Since 2015, Marcela has taught piano at several state-recognized music schools in the Czech Republic. In 2022, she joined Piano School Prague, where she continues to teach students of all ages and skill levels. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with young children, teenagers, and adults, tailoring each lesson to the individual needs, interests, and goals of every student.

Alongside her teaching career, Marcela has maintained an active performing life. She has appeared in concerts throughout the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, and other European countries. Her performance experience includes solo appearances at Villa Tugendhat, collaborations with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, and long-term involvement with the Brno Double Bass Orchestra since 2008. She has also received numerous awards in piano competitions and participated in prestigious international masterclasses.

In addition to her work as a pianist, Marcela is an active member of a choir in Switzerland, where she continues to expand her musical experience as a vocalist. Her background in vocal studies and choral singing allows her to support students interested in developing their singing voice, musical expression, breathing technique, and overall musicianship.

Marcela’s teaching philosophy is founded on encouragement, patience, and a genuine belief in the potential of every student. She creates a positive and supportive learning environment where students develop strong technical skills while experiencing the joy of making music. Whether preparing for examinations, performances, competitions, or simply learning for personal enjoyment, Marcela guides her students with professionalism, sensitivity, and enthusiasm.

Lessons are available for children from the age of four, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to advanced students. Marcela offers both piano and singing lessons, welcoming students who wish to explore either discipline or develop their skills in both areas.
